Sitting by the isle.

I've always been enticed by dreams of making it big out there - somewhere. Probably now i would just make it big by sitting around the house and do literally nothing at all but merely sulk and procrastinate. There're simply too much degree holders plunged in the society now that the worth of a degree had drastically gone down and makes me wonder if i am furthering my studies for the sake of some words scribbled on an A4 piece of paper that certified i'm a university graduate. I would say with gold, it could easily buy you a placing in a university (let's exclude NTU & NUS), you get your degree, secure a job, build up your financial standing, get a partner, get married and start a family. This is exactly how the society norm behaves - realisitc.

Lately, the boyfriend's persistent high fever for 4 days threw me into a tizzy of worry. After tuition today, went over to the boyfriend's and ended up in the hospital with him taking a blood test for dengue. It was negative. Although it was the Accident and Emergency section he was referred to, we had to wait for a good 3 hrs. While waiting, we chanced upon a brainless mama with her 3 beautiful kids - 1 toddler and 2 aged 3-4 year old daughters. The story went like this; mama bought a drink from the vending machine for her daughters and 1 of them spilled it over her so she had to wash up. She eventually asked her daughters to look after the toddler and went straight off to the toilet when her daughters weren't even bothered by the toddler. The baby pram was just right beside us, being abandoned and we seeked this chance to snap pictures of the toddler while we caught her attention. I swear she was so damn cute. Ok, maybe because she was half angmoh. My mum took a trip down to the hospital to accompany me home, the usual auntie talks with the boyfriend's mum and subsequently my mum and i went for a late dinner at east point mall after the boyfriend dropped us off.

Saturday was going to the airport with huiqi for a briefing at T3 and it was lunch at Tong Shui Cafe at T1 and i actually found out it was halal, unlike the one in zion road. We were bumming there until it was time to meet our boyfriends and with weary feets and droopy eyes, we went on seperate ways; mine towards the east and hers towards the west. Despite having a high fever, the boyfriend was very much alert and picked me up from tampines and moments later, we headed down to downtown east to meet the boyfriend's PSP long lost khaki. I picked up some magazines on the way in order to occupy myself for a good 3 hrs while the boyfriend is entirely focused in his gaming session. Albeit having a high fever, it still kept the boyfriend going on like nothing happened. The plus point was that the boyfriend played PSP from home, at downtown east and back home again. I do wonder all the time why is the PSP so captvating? The rationale is just like little girls playing with barbie dolls, claimed the boyfriend.

Home;
Downtown East;
Sunday- accompanied the boyfriend to his GP and off to my cousin's house for mahjong sessions and she got me some clothes from her trip to aussie. Then it was dinner with everyone - my family and my cousin's family. Wondering why there weren't pictures of us dining? Because everyone including me were too busy snatching food. Then it was off too ikea for my cousin to get her stuff and a zinger burger for her brother who was apparently not full after the snatch feast. Anthony bit a mouthful of the burger to play my male cousin out, for something he had done. That threw us into a laughing fit. It was sure an exhausting weekend but a fulfilling one.
I am a happy girl.
