A serenade to perform

The week is gonna end in let's say, 5 & a half more hours. This means daily work routines are kicking in and the boyfriend is booking in. I've not been doing much catching ups with anyone and hopefully, the weeks to come, i get the chance to. How i wish i was still tied down with numerous training sessions and spend time with my teammates. Maybe it will come soon - not;because school is only starting next august. There is so much things and places i desire to do and to go (before i turned 30), i've even draft up a things-to-do list in my mind because maybe all these won't happen so soon.

1) To travel overseas with my girl pals and the boyfriend.
2) To take up a new language.
3) To take up new sport activities.
4) To start up an online pastry business with my mum (things are still in discussion).
5) To visit every corners of Singapore with the boyfriend (From flea markets to places of interest).
6) To start a flea market booth with my girl pals.
7) To indulge with a galore of the finest food and shoppings.
8) To get a driving license and get a car of my own.

Well, the brutal truth is money revolves around all these things and for me, they shall gradually materialise because i am not Paris Hilton.

Saturday was staying over for the boyfriend, it has been quite some time though. It's 3 more weeks and he will be set free from his birdcage. Staying in has always been a dread for me & him, let's pray for the positve.

Today i skipped rowing for my beloved aunt who's celebrating an advanced birthday at Red Star Restaurant for some dimsum. This is the usual Hong Kong dimsum hangout for us. We went to Fareast Square for YaKun Toast and headed to the flea market there where my cousin bought a $100+ transformer sets. Just to clarify, he is already 28 this year. Sorry, forgotten about my camera so no pictures. However, to offset this, i have some overdue pictures on wednesday's dining at Tonkichi @ Shaw Towers.

Little perkies pep me up

Fun-filled weekends always perk me up from all those monotonous working days that i am having. No doubt i would plan my every weekends packed with activities that when the moment i reached home, i would be drained and knock off on my bed instantly. On the hind side, Singapore can only get this big - enough to explore in 3 days maybe?

Lately, i've been a good girl becuase i sleep and wake up early; earliest to date is 9pm. Ok, you must be wondering what i did to attain it. It was yesterday when i woke up at 5plus in the morning for the Safra run, trained back home for late breakfast and my mum drove ourselves down to rowing in the midst of the rain. It was buying an assortment food for dinner and after that was watching the Olympic closing ceremony accompanied by my dozing off subsequently. This explains everything.
I thought my legs would be screaming at me after the run but it was not so bad. However, my shoes gave way, a flap came off from the sole after running. I do not wish to depart from it beacuse i have gone through thick & thin with it since poly years. I don't want to!

Saturday was night Safari day with the boyfriend, Estee and Fen. We got to see the animals despite the after shower condition. Pictures paints a thousand words, so let them do the talking now.

A pothole to salvage

Some time to spare at work now because i've completed my assignments in a bolt over the weeks and with my in-charge not around, i get to sloth abit. It is about 3 hours to knocking off and lethargy is kicking in already. Desk-bound jobs are not my kind because all you do is glue your ass to the seat for the whole day with the occasional walk-abouts. I am getting pretty sick with this job but will be sticking to it for the time being - adapted to the late arrival and early departure routine and a reasonable income.

This morning over breakfast, my mum was telling me a Korean actor who starred in "Coffee Prince" died in a road accident at age 27. My heart sank instantly because it happened so abruptly. One moment, you watched the person on screen, the other moment, he/she is gone. Same goes for heart-throb Heath Ledger. Reality has to be hard and callous; no warnings beforehand - you get hit, injured and fall. Maybe the oracle does exist.

In Loving Memory;

The sun still shines in the sky

Finally, before laziness & lethargy set in, i must update an entry. Apparently, my blog is dead and my brain is dead once i get home everyday because i haven't had the time to put up an entry - not even a short one because the last few days were literally packed. Not to say, i don't even get to slouch into my comfort zone for some good read;i'm yearning for that day to arrive.

Everything at work was settling in, nothng impressive to brag about. But wait, it's only today i found out who was this keropok man who kept shouting "Keropok! Keropok!" in the office after lunch hours - an outside vendor with unlimited keropoks to sell. That's pretty amusing to have this in the office.
My trip to Genting over the weekends was totally great - shopping & eating sprees with the boyfriend. Despite the freeze, we gorged down ice-creams like nobody's business because they were dirt cheap. We went KL for a day, lady's luck not smiling at us because it started to rain heavily. We amde a mad dash in the rain to train down to Berjaya Square - 8 storeys high with an indoor theme park. It is very much like Fareast but a bigger version with a theme park. We had japanese for dinner but not that fantastic because the sushi(s) are the ones that me & my mum could produce. I guess it is not right to whine because it was dirt cheap and still edible. One thing for sure was we had Starbucks & Coffeebean throughout our stay because those were the only cafes. My parents arrived the next day to join us and casino is their game. I tried entering the casino twice at different locations but was asked to produce my IC twice. Yes, i have a kiddish face - the boyfriend reckons. It's not a bad thing afterall.

The weekends are nearing and it is back to the old days when the boyfriend was in camp and booking out on the weekends. However, this will only have to last for a month, it is considered to be bearable. Saturday will be Night Safari with the boyfriend, lets just hope he pass his theory test tomorrow and books out on Saturday. I would die for more trips - Penang, Bali, HongKong, Redang, BangKok are already on my list.
